We set the alarm to get up, and the girls and I head
downstairs for breakfast. We had knocked
on their door and told the others to meet us there. We had a van picking us up at 11 AM to take
us to the ship. This was a very nice
upscale restaurant and the kids had gotten their things and I was drinking coffee
when Teresa came in and said I must have Chris’s suitcase in my room. I was sure I didn’t but gave her the key for
her to go check. Next step caused us all
to go into a panic……we were missing a suitcase.
Teresa and I went through the trash to find the tags we took off and
match them up with the receipts we were given.
We determined that all bags had arrived in Barcelona but in our sleep
deprived state, we had left one on the carousel. Teresa and Keith get a taxi and head back to
the airport which is packed with people.
With a few hassles they get the bag and head back to the hotel. Chris changes clothes and we head down to the
lobby and our ride is there.
We were checked in and on the ship in record time…I think
from the time we left the hotel until we were actually on the ship it was less
than an hour. We were able to get into
our cabin and our luggage was there shortly after. We unpacked and went to get a late
lunch. We have reservations at Moderno
at 8:00 tonight which is the Brazilian steakhouse on the ship. It was nice to sit and relax, have a cocktail
and not have to be somewhere at the moment.
We watched us sail out at shortly after 6 PM from our balcony and our Med Cruise was underway. Our dinner was delicious and everyone enjoyed
dinner. The show is Spencer Robson who
is listed as a vocal impressionist. Basically
he was a singer who did impressions of other singers. While he had a good voice, his best
impression was of Sammy Davis, Jr. The
show was entertaining but we were all sinking
suffering the effects of jet lag.
I think we all stumbled back to the cabins and slept well…day one of the
cruise is in the books.

Paige found the Beatles Club as soon as we got on. |
So hard to travel all that way and see all you can see while practically sleepwalking!
